Brooklyn Beckham is receiving some backlash online after a TikTok saw him apparently claim his new career as a chef has afforded him a million-dollar sports car.
The moment came about when Brooklyn was spotted on the street by TikToker Daniel Mac, who regularly runs up to owners of expensive and luxury vehicles to find out who they are and “what they do for a living”.
In the video, which you can watch above, Brooklyn is driving a McLaren P1 supercar, which belongs to his dad David Beckham. The car is reportedly one of just 765 made in the world.
“Hey man, what do you do for a living? Your car’s awesome,” the TikToker asks Beckham. (Watch above.)

“I’m a chef,” Beckham replies.
“Are you like the best chef in the world?” Mac teases.
“Trying to be,” Brooklyn says with a laugh.
Mac’s question wasn’t lost on viewers, who understood the owner of a McLaren P1 would likely have to be one of the best chefs in the world to afford it.
Many took the chance to make the point in the video comments.
“Born into a multimillionaire family and now married a billionaire’s daughter. But he’s a chef!!” one person wrote.

“Chef 😂😂 he meant to say daddy’s money,” another commented.
“- what do you do for a living ? – ‘I was born’,” one person joked.
The 23-year-old is certainly doing well in the money department, thanks to his parents David and Victoria Beckham. Brooklyn reportedly has a net worth of $US10 million (approx. $14 million).
Now that he is also married to his billionaire heiress wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, money truly is just an object.
The actress has a reported net worth of $US50 million (approx. $71.4 million).
While Brooklyn was previously interested in photography, in the last few years he’s gravitated towards cooking. He regularly shares cooking videos on his Instagram and Facebook for fans, hosting his mini cooking series Cookin’ With Brooklyn.
In fact, in a recent interview with Variety, Beckham revealed he would love to open a pub in Los Angeles. Though, interestingly, he didn’t classify himself as a chef.
“I would love to have my own pub. I would love to have my own sauces, knives, pots and pans,” he said.
“Not like a chef – I’m always going to be learning about cooking.”
