Timothée Chalamet’s Backless Red Halter Top Nearly Broke Twitter

On Friday night, Timothée Chalamet stole the show at the Venice Film Festival during the premiere of his new cannibals in love movie Bones and All by wearing a bright red sparkling backless pantsuit. The blood red look came with a matching scarf and was created by designer Haider Ackerman. Chalamet paired the outfit with dark leather boots featuring a small heel and wore a pair of black cat eye sunglasses as he walked towards the red carpet.

The film is directed by Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino, who featured Chalamet as one of the main protagonists in his award winning hit, Call Me By Your Name.

“The second I read it, I said, I think only Timothee can play this role,” Guadagnino said in an interview. “He’s fantastic, a great performer and to see him soaring the way he is doing now, I feel proud of him. And this character is something very new for him, both endearing and heartbreaking.”

Variety reports that Bones and All was well received by audiences at the showing, and that it does indeed include some graphic cannibalism. It apparently received an 8.5 minute standing ovation and viewers outside the event were chanting the director’s name.

But people who have only seen Chalamet and not the movie have been reacting to his playful ensemble on Twitter, delighting in the avant-garde fashion choices on display in Venice.

A generous look is one everyone can have fun with. Chalamet tends to make bold fashion choices on the red carpet, and has recently been sporting more gender neutral and feminine looks, like the black Louis Vuitton womenswear jacket he wore to this year’s Academy Awards. In this instance, he was showing a lot more skin in front.

Bones and All will be showing in theaters on November 23, and Chalamet has given fans plenty of inspiration for what they might wear to see it.

Beyoncé Tosses Her Sunglasses to a Lucky Fan: "Still in Shock"

Beyoncé gave one fan an experience he’d never forget when she threw him the sunglasses off her face during her “Renaissance” World Tour concert in London. In a now-viral TikTok video, fans captured the exact moment she removed her Off-White sunglasses, which she paired with a red-sequined Off-White bodysuit and thigh-high boots, and threw them into the crowd — but only after pausing to check the brand, of course. The recipient? A TikTok user who goes by the name Global Valentino, aka Valentino Rodrigues.

“Best experience ever, this meant so much!”

“I’m 1 of 1,” Valentino captioned the video. “Me and @khal caught the glasses!! best experience ever, this meant so much!” The joy of catching one of the Grammy-winner’s personal accessories, however, was short-lived as security promptly came over and snatched the sunglasses back. As his friends tried to keep the glasses safe, the guards mouthed, “Stop! Stop!” and ultimately ended up walking away with the sunglasses.

Later in the evening, Beyoncé returned wearing a custom Loewe bodysuit in gold and smiled as she returned the sunglasses to Rodrigues. “No, seriously, I’m still in shock ’cause what the hell?” he told his TikTok followers in a video after the show. After sharing a glimpse of the sunglasses up close, Valentino explained that a piece had fallen off the side immediately after the show. Once they were fixed, he happily tried them on. “OK, so I’m never wearing these again, guys, but they fit,” he said in a follow-up video. Since the concert, Rodrigues has also updated his TikTok bio to read, “BEYONCÉ GAVE ME HER SHADES.”

In an interview with The Daily Dot, he added that the show was the “best night of my life.” The experience was made all the more special by the fact that the glasses were inscribed with the numbers 4-2.3 — likely an optometric measurement — because his birthday happens to be April 23, a noteworthy coincidence.

Though security tried to confiscate the glasses, Rodrigues didn’t let the moment spoil his experience, and he’s glad he was able to hang onto a memento from the unforgettable show. “I don’t know about you guys but I can’t see the haters,” he said with a laugh as he put on the glasses.

As far as skirt trends go, this past year has undoubtedly been the year of maxi hemlines and micro minis. Midi skirts haven’t ever been “out,” but I did put them on the back burner momentarily. There’s always been a place for classic slip midis, but the more trend-forward and creative elements were always applied to the mini and maxi styles.  However, as I took a deep dive into the latest market for summer, I was surprised to see a large variety of updated and elevated midi skirts. Think cargo styles, airy linen options, and colorful wrap skirts.

The best part about these skirts? You may be buying them for the summer, but I can assure you of their year-round versatility. Simply take them into the fall easily with tall boots and an oversize sweater. Keep scrolling to see and shop the best skirts on the market that haven’t sold out yet.
